Governor's Success Scholarship Program
Just ask any student at UNH—a higher education can change your life, and financial assistance can make all the difference. Let me share with you what that assistance meant to me.
The Governor’s Success Scholarship is one of my most memorable personal accomplishments. I was extremely flattered and thoroughly surprised to be chosen for this honor. I had heard of one other person from my school who was awarded the scholarship a few years earlier—one of those things that was understood to be a “big deal.” I never dreamed I would be lucky enough to be a recipient myself.
The scholarship gave me even more than financial assistance. It gave me peace of mind. Thanks to this help, I could complete my undergraduate degree without a large amount of debt, and the Honors Program promised smaller classes, faster-paced material, and the challenge of an honors thesis. Today I work in my chosen field as a product manager with Parker Hannifin Corporation.
I’m as proud of this scholarship today as I was twelve years ago when I received it. I’ve worked professionally with excellent people from diverse backgrounds—people from the smallest community colleges to the most prestigious universities. I rate my UNH education on a par with any of them.
Your support helps students financially and provide them with recognition that will stay with them for their entire lives. My parents still talk about how lucky OUR FAMILY was to receive this honor, as it definitely helped defray the cost of my education.
