The Annual Fund
The UNH Annual Fund appeals to alumni, parents, and friends for support that makes a difference in the lives of current students. Unlike endowed funds, which are invested and generate support for specific purposes in perpetuity, the Annual Fund plays a vital part in the thriving day-to-day operation of the University. Gifts to the Annual Fund realize a wide variety of programs, including student scholarships, faculty professional development, library and computer resources, special research projects, and facilities management.
The Annual Fund permits the University:
• to foster an intellectual curiosity distinguished by creativity and a passion for discovery;
• to make a UNH education accessible to all qualified students, regardless of family income;
• to recruit and retain the most talented and committed faculty; and
• to ensure that tolerance, understanding, and a commitment to diversity are central to our community.
Thanks to the Annual Fund, the University has been able to provide assistance for low-income, first-generation students through the McNair Graduate Opportunity Program; support faculty initiatives in mathematics, English, sociology, education, psychology, and nursing; offer Presidential Scholarships to students who demonstrate good conduct and citizenship; and grant Presidential awards to high-achieving students.
