University Community Scholarship Program

As president of the UNH Organic Garden Club, I try to spread awareness about the benefits of small-scale agriculture. The food we grow is used to help cook monthly Community Dinners at the Waysmeet Center that are free and open to the public. We also donate food to Crossroads House in Portsmouth and speak about sustainability at local events and churches. Receiving the University Community Scholarship means that my passion and dedication to local, organic agriculture has been recognized by the University community as I focus my time and energy into making a positive difference.

For the past ten years, our community has come together to build a permanent scholarship endowment for UNH and UNHM students who excel academically and volunteer their time. We are happy to report that our current endowment value is $127,140. Each year, we help students achieve their dreams of a college education.

If you have contributed in the past, we thank you and hope you will continue. If you haven't participated yet, please consider making a contribution this year. Our goal is to reach $150,000, which could be easily done if every faculty and staff person gave $7.85 to this cause!

An endowment pays in perpetuity. What better way is there to honor our students and the work we all do at UNH? Together, let's keep our endowment growing.
