Research
UNH students and faculty are on a quest for knowledge that extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. Numerous and exciting research initiatives carry across the disciplines; many of the most significant are initiated and broadened by private support.
Private dollars have supported all aspects of faculty projects in UNH's renowned Marine Program, from hiring student research assistants to granting dollars to purchase necessary equipment to be used in the living laboratory that surrounds us.
The recently endowed Carsey Institute will serve as a collaborative center where faculty in the behavioral, social, and health sciences can conduct innovative research on families and communities and the challenges that confront them every day.
And the Joan and James Leizel Center for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education strives to address the growing need for trained professionals in the technological fields by improving math and science education at the elementary and secondary school levels.
