Young Alumni

An Easy Decision

Aaron Mohammed '10Aaron Mohammed ’10 was the first person to give to UNH’s senior class appeal, which asked each member of the Class of 2010 to make a donation of $20.10. He says contributing to this gift—part of The UNH Fund—was the easiest decision he ever made at UNH.

When Mohammed reflects on his time at UNH, he is hard-pressed to decide which is his favorite. Friends and mentors he made and experiences he shared with other students in the CONNECT program, a course that kept the class rapt, the intramural football team on which he played, the campus celebration of the Red Sox winning the 2007 World Series, the award he received at the communication department’s commencement ceremony…the list goes on.

“It is much easier to see what you have once it's gone,” says Mohammed. “UNH creates an environment that can't be replicated anywhere else. I'd imagine that the more time spent away from UNH, the easier it will be to see all the experiences UNH provided for us and the easier it will be for people to try and give back in any way that they can.”

And what they say is true. “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.” Mohammed says he plans to stay engaged with UNH. “Whether it is staying in touch with the faculty or returning to campus for big University events or games, I plan on being a Wildcat for the rest of my life.”
